Okay need a little help between getiing an air ratchet ot a lower torque impact wrench.

I spend a lot of time removing and sharpening mower blades. Due to some medical issues, using an air tool versus a regular ratchet will work better for my condition.

The question is what will work better for this need.

My thought would be the ratchet since the torque amount would not exceed 40ish.

Thoughts/opinions?

Thanks

Impact wrench. Air ratchets are knuckle busting evil monsters.

Since you've got air, a $20 impact wrench will work great. Or a cheap butterfly impact.

Look at reactionless impact ratchet if keen on air ratchet style tool.
a nano composite impact wrench also be nice easy use solution with more torque .

Impact wrench.

The rpm speed of the impact wrench on a blade bolt usually means you don't even have to clamp the blade in place to remove or install it.

Although the ~$10 blade clamp is sooooo much nicer than trying to wedge a block of wood in place to block the blade from spinning and then trying to hold the wood block while also trying to remove the blade bolt and not drop things. Get one if you don't have one yet. I've seen them at Lowes and HD and TractorSupply around here. Or order one online.

An air ratchet just doesn't spin fast enough to be able to do that. And is a bit iffy on the torque output IMHO. Impact is nicer and easier to use for this task.
