My impact wrench works in one direction "R" but when switched to "F" I just hear air leaking. If I hunt for a position not fully at the F limit, it will work. At full F, the knob on the F side is inside the body more than the R knob at full R.
This is a Cambell Hausfeld Medallion Series PL350299. I have the parts list and it shows a "regulator" that travels inside what looks like a ported "regulator bushing". It could be that the bushing has moved in the housing but I don't see anything on the parts list that would hold it in place. Maybe it is a press fit. Has anyone seen this problem? Can I just try to move the bushing without disassembly or is there some locating feature that may break?
