Impact Wrench

Hi Guys,

I am looking to get a 1/2 inch impact wrench, preferable for around $150 or so. I can get the Ingersoll Rand 2130 on amazon for $140 delivered.

Any suggestions or comments on this choice? I am looking for something that I won't use every day but is powerful for when I do.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Or if you can find a harborfreight earthquake 1/2in thats good as well. if you aren't using it profesionally then weight won't be too much of an issue.

Harbor Freight 1/2" Earthquake, my local store had 4 of them left @ $56 with the 20% coupon. Plus free flashlight.

Don't be scared by the price these are great impacts. Very, very ballsy. Even took the 30mm crank pulley bolt off my 15 year old Volvo.

I tried picking one of those Earthquakes up the other day I was at HF and those guns are super heavy. If weight is a factor, then I'd go for one of the Nitrocats. The IR 2130 specs says it's only 550 ft/lbs of torque which is pretty weak compared to what's out there these days, so at the very least, I would not choose that gun for that price.

Seriously? I just looked on Amazon, the 2141 is a $422 impact gun.

Yes I fully understood the point he was trying to make. But you aren't really comparing apples to apples. It would be like saying the a high performance sports car was faster 0-60 than a Volvo station wagon. Of course it's better, it costs way more money.
