Looking for an adapter to attach to my 1/2” impact wrench. Looking for an attachment that I attach a socket to. Need to get in tight spaces. Currently can only get socket and ratchet, but bolts are to corroded. Try using penetrating oil but did no good. Hoping for a flexible extension to connect to my impact wrench to attach to socket so I can easily remove bolts.

Flexible extensions tend to "eat" the torque of the impact wrench. They do make swivels/universals for impact wrenches.

Thanks but need some type of extension. Cannot get bolts loose. Even tried using a cheater bar after spraying with penetrating oil still nothing.

Does anyone know if these attachments could be used on a 1/2” impact wrench with an extension. Need to use the attachment to make a right angle with a socket attached

Long ratchet, short ratchet, breaker bar, doesn't matter. Put a piece of pipe over it and use leverage. Ain't no way an impact with a U joint bent at anywhere near 90° is going to work.

A right angle is a hard no with universal or angle adapters. Figure on losing about half your torque at 30 degree angle. At 90 degrees, no torque is going to make it past your adapters. There are impact rated tools that might work for you, but the transmitted torque is still limited. The best one I am aware of (Snap On FRW10) is only 3/8", and I highly doubt it would transmit enough torque for you here. TTC did a great review of these.

Tried that as well
If slugging on a box wrench with a hammer doesn't do it, no impact is going to get you there. It's time for the "blue wrench". Sorry.

Is this the upper brake caliper frame bolt on a Subaru? There's a special socket designed for these.

Penetrating oil plus socket on 1/2 drive breaker bar.

Penetrating oil plus socket on 3/4 drive breaker bar

Penetration oil plus socket on 3/4 drive breaker bar with 4 feet of pipe on the handle.

Torch

Depending on what you’re working on it may be best to just skip straight to the torch
