It's at least 2.5 years. Maybe a bit more. I bought it from a brick and mortar store (maybe Sears - not sure).

did you check the inlet yet? you would be amazed how many tools come into the shop complaining of no power and the inlets are full of tape, dirt, etc. the screen traps all kinds of **** and if it's not clean, no air flow,no power.

I have to wonder how many people on here actually own the 2135 that recommend it.

I own two of them. A 2135QTi and a 2135QTiMAX. I also have a 2115QTiMAX, a 3/8" IR air ratchet, a 1/2" IR air ratchet, 2 IR die grinders and an IR blowgun.

The 2135s have seen a great deal of use in tyre fitting, up to 1,000 cycles per day for a couple years and two years of daily use when working as a mech, they've never once let me down and have more than enough power. Excellent ergonomics and user comfort, very light, the Quietool is awesome and makes a huge difference to me, the power and direction selectors are a big selling point.

Overall i think they're the best all-round impact guns. Slighty less powerful than the Snap-on guns but far better overall and considerably cheaper too.

so many different opinions. checked hf the earthquake gun is on sale this month $79 was wondering about tring this gun says 625 lb torque.

advertised at 625ft-lbs breakaway max and 400ft-lbs forward. Not incredibly powerful, but I've had mine for a few years and still works great. I've used it for a bunch of fasteners and it's only failed me a couple times. I've gotten those fasteners with a breaker bar though. I think it's a pretty decent gun for the price and it sounds awesome. With that said, i'm saving up for an MG725 to match my new-to-me MG325.

I'm on my second 2135timax. The first one was returned because I seriously didn't believe how little power it had vs. my $30 Kobalt.

Got one from Sears today, and same thing. It is WEAK. Do these not come pre-greased? It came oiled, it was dripping out the inlet. I must be missing something but my $30 350 ft-lb rated Kobalt hits harder.

In light of this I am probably going to return this one too. I wanted a US made good impact, was willing to pay, but am sorely disappointed. I'm thinking of getting the HF Earthquake now.

Also, look at the specs for the quiet vs. regular. Very little difference when running it while hitting. Really no reason to get the quiet version IMO.

Exchange it again. I have seen flukes where the machining of the air passages is incomplete causing the hammer mechanism to get very little air. If you get another dud call IR directly. You should not be able to hold the socket in your hand at 100psi.

I'll be honest I'm done with the IR's. Two is enough for me, from two completely different locations. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, I saved for a long time for that 2135qtimax.

I dont use the silencer on my mg725 so its loud. But its completley replaced the 3/4" CP the shop provides.. Reliable and hits really hard. The magnesium housing makes it light too.
