A piece of foreign import tat turned up here today.
These were made by Walker-Turner? Seems a cute little thing.
14" throat on this one. Needs some work. The bottom blade holder assembly is completely missing, and the top one is only partial. What thread was used to attach the blade holder to the plungers on these? Seems a very fine thread. Not had chance to try and match it as yet, so it'd save me some possible guesswork if it's an American thread pattern. The half moon assembly on the underside of the table is distorted too. Looks like someone has overtightened in the past and pulled it out of shape. Everything moves freely though, so all of the basics seem fine. I'll know for sure once it eventually gets to the restoration phase as to whether there's any other damage needs sorting or not.
Quite impressed with how compact it is. Looks to be of decent quality build, with good weight for the size. It looks tiny compared to the other scrollsaw I have here though. This is a photo of it in front of just the bed from that one, (a Medding's). This one should be notably easier to find a spot for when it's done.
