Impressed by $399 Amazon Welder

We’re talking inverter style, quick DCEN/DCEP changeover, mig flux/gas, DC tig, stick welding ability, while also being 120v and 240v capable, 200 amps, inductance control and voltage regulation, all digitally!

Accessories include .03 and .035 tips, dimple and non dimple rollers, 120 to 240 adapter, mig gun, stick electrode holder, gas hose, ground, etc

I bought this as a second welder not expecting much, but dang did it exceed my expectations.

Its been a properly good welder, regardless of price, let alone $399.

The Chinese are really stepping their game up.

Looks nice! I don't do much welding, but a guy I work with got a little stick welder from Amazon, and likes it for small jobs. Its 110v, and the duty cycle isn't suitable for big jobs, but it's better than dragging the big *** lincoln out to do a ten minute job. Enjoy the new welder!

I've had a chinese ac/dc tig/stick plasma cutter for almost 10 yrs, still works good.
Its fine for home gamers, for commercial use it would be shortsighted.

Solid review; a couple things he missed though is the voltage control and inductance control.

You can set a deviation from 0-10 to increase or decrease the voltage relative to the amps. Same applied to inductance, you can turn it up or down.

Another interesting things is that each setting (flux, Co2, or 75/25) all have unique recommended settings when you set the mm thickness of what you're welding.

I take any thread like this with a grain of salt not knowing what the basis of comparison is. I thought my Century branded MIG was pretty great until I picked up a Miller.

Being DC tig, the Tig is pretty well limited to steel and stainless. The unit does not come with a torch.

This is mig centric; its in the name.

I'm not a pro by any stretch; have experience with a Hobart hobby machine and have played around with an ESAB machine.

Objectively speaking though, I'm trying to think of anything that could make it better?

Off the top, all I can think of is that it dents easily.

yes It's not structure, but it looks simple to tack different metals together.
