I needed a good quality set of 6pt combination wrenches for my home garage. I wanted a set of Wright's, but couldn't afford it. After doing a lot of searching, I read that the high polished wrenches that Danaher put out for KD/Armstrong, among others, was a good buy. I pieced together a metric set from Cripe for about $30 and couldn't be happier. They are great quality wrenches with good machining and smooth finishing. Surprisingly, my OCD is not bothered by the fact that they are not all the same brand, because the look identical. They are clearly not in the same league as a set of Wrights, but $30 for a quality US made set is not bad.

A couple years ago, I decided to add a set of 6 point metric combination wrenches to accompany my 12 point sets.... I pieced together a 6 point metric combination set 7MM up to 19MM, similar to yours in Cripe's eBay store.. I looked at the final price, and put a quantity three on each wrench before pressing the buy it now...( I did some early Christmas shopping while I was at it).

20MM to 32MM were added to one set with ""matching"" polished 12point combination wrenches branded" Armstrong, Allen, and KD..

Good looking, quality wrenches for the price...

Shhh, do tell anyone :wtf:

They don't make them any more. Stock is limited. They will soon be extinct.

I have always said that the second generation of the KD/NAPA Professional/Allen combinations wrenches are outstanding and a true sleeper.
What's not to love? nice chrome, off corner boxed end engagement, great balance and feel:thumbup:

You are correct that they aren't in the same league as Wright, they are much better than the current garage journal wrench de jour Wright. Hell, looking at your KD wrenches, you'll see that all of the boxed ends are offset as the same uniform angle unlike wrights.
