A couple of years ago, I ordered a Skil table saw (TS6307) and used it a couple of times before I had to put it away until the price of lumber dropped. Recently, I pulled it out and after a couple of days of use, the motor started smoking and burning. Whenever I started it back up, the motor would flash bright white.
I called Skil today expecting that they would require me to drop it off at the local Fastenal for repair. Skil requested a video of the tool in action and I sent them one. Very quickly, they let me know that they were sending me a brand new table saw under warranty. I would need to send the old one back (postage paid by them) but the new one would be shipped soon.
The saw wasn't terribly expensive (about $300 I believe) but the customer service by Skil has REALLY been impressive in this instance. Figured that I would let others know.
