Not bashing the OP but it’s foolish for you to dismiss even the harshest skeptic. Do you actually think that telling me that millions of others hadn’t questioned your authenticity would get me to be a believer? I can seriously claim that I have never received a single complaint from millions of travelers about my flying skills in landing a 737 harder than an elevator coming to a stop. Ever.

Here’s what I would have done, do a continuous video that shows the lug nuts torqued to factory specs then use the tool. If you want bonus points, take apart the tool & explain how the gizmo works the way it does and how it’s different. That, would get my attention.

Absolutely clueless. In the video the impact tightened an axle nut past 130ft-lbs with no edits in the video.

I'm thinking at least the Honda crank bolt was a fluke. I have a hard time believing that a 400 dollar IR couldn't do what a 50 dollar AliExpress 12v impact can

Milwaukee 2767 "high torque" could not do it just like the $50 amazon impact could not do it.It was the socket...if you actually watched the video.

Clearly the only solution here is for someone else to buy it (not from the affiliate link) and test it on their Honda crank bolt. I don’t have a Honda so... not it.

I that that tool is pretty cool though. I think a cool project would be to modify one to use lithium primary batteries so you could leave it in the trunk for 15 years and pull it out and have it work fine without draining your car battery.

I don't think it would survive 15 years but you never know. Guess we will have to try lol

Well, glad it worked for ya, but to be honest thats not something i see many guys buying to work on their cars.. roadside tire change? - eh - OK..

As far as the honorary moderators go - some people just ain’t happy till they are telling other people what to do. Leave the guy alone.. Jesus..

I seriously doubt that $50 toy would beat out my DeWalt DCF899 I saw it some months ago as part of a roadside emergency kit on any bolt you tasked it with. Nor would I part with$50 for the kit I saw!Buy real tools guys.

you guys realize that all these amazon links from hotpaws/singlecams/ytsing1-20's videos are affiliate links, right?

in my view, that makes him more a salesman than one of our GJ peers. just saying.
am i saying he's lying about the tools? nah, idk. but it makes me scrutinize and question motivation.

also, to make matters worse, i do not see any admission on his part that he's an affiliate. this is in violation of amazon's own policy (see sec 5):

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/agreement

edit: even though i just said all of that, your videos seem nice. gj

Today, his comment section clearly said he is affiliated. Also, he clearly said DO NOT BUY IT JUST B/C IT WORKED ON MY CAR(S), as you might not have the same luck. C'mon man...

The longevity would be the biggest issue, IMO. Just wait til you try out a brushless DeWalt.

He's already done that.
And Milwaukee...and Makita...and IR...and Ridgid...and Ryobi...and Mastercraft Maximum...and Rockwell...and Metabo...

This guy is getting harped on by people that have no clue, just bias...
:dunno:

Please see above comments supporting/defending him :dunno:

I just got to the part where he referenced the Milwaukee.

Hey Farmall. I wasnt criticizing you. My bad if I came off that way.
Ive been following this guys videos for over five years and honestly have never gotten a “sell out” vibe.

EDIT: Totally agree with you on longevity. Its probably a complete pile of junk. It certainly looks hideous. I was surprised to see it had metal gearing.

My bad, I was a bit perplexed how I was seen as slamming the poor guy like so many others!

You're getting flack for that but you aren't 'wrong'. It's a toss up for me but only 4 threads started since 2014 - all of them reviews - makes me wonder. Oh - and 59 posts total. Those are the facts - interpret them as you will.

I have a video of the ingersoll with 4 million views
and not once did anyone claim the video was edited and ask to torque nuts to factory spec and loosen them...so they could believe it. Just going to have to believe it :)

That was oddly satisfying.
What an awesome video.
That is as legit as wrenching gets.
Rusted decades old **** in a junkyard.
Thank you.

Anyone making videos will post affiliate links. Don't like it then don't click anything, you bitter hater.

Sad that everyone missed the point. I LOVE the idea behind this momentum based centrifuge impact! What mad genius invented this? What a crazy innovation!

I have no need for one, since my roadside lug wrench is a breaker bar. But, what a great video, thanks for making it. So fun to watch and root that crazy tool on.

I don't get the argument.

I think OP (@hotspaws) started an informative thread. As someone who already own an extensive Ingersol Rand 20v/12v cordless tool collection, I'm not interested in a bulky tool like that, but some people may find it attractive.

Not limited by space, the armature/gear etc. can be made big. The car battery definitely has more juice than any Li-Ion battery packs. A tool like that can generate decent power. Hint: a car starter can generate 200 ft-lb of torque, and the starter is very compact.

Why not?

I think its funny how people complain about this, but people having links in EVERY ONE of their post to advertise for themselves = all good..

Here’s the bigger question - why do any of you care? Nobody is shoving anything down your throat.
