Today we did the ceiling and the upper walls. The bricks were a challenge to get them smoothly white. We had to paint the whole garage two times.

Having your helper must be priceless!! Looks like got things going. You better get her a painters cap to keep that paint out of her ponytail or you will pay dearly for that!!
Good Job

Great job so far, Taurus. Is Lucerne in the french-speaking part of Switzerland?

Ironic that circuit driving is forbidden in Switzerland yet you have a Swiss F1 team...

My garage has the same thermolight breeze block walls on the inside as yours so I'm watching this with interest as I have mine to paint in a couple of months time.

Do you realize how lucky you are to have her willing help in the garage? She is an :angel: !

Buy her flowers, buy her chocolates, write her a sonnet, help her in whatever she wishes; she is worth all you can do and more! :thumbup:

Thanks for your comments.:) Yes, may lovely wife is a jackpot. :bowdown: She's helping me all the time though not really interested in the garage. But her interest in the project grows with the progress.

@GBSnoopy
I used a primer to prepare the bricks for painting and it really payed off. Would recommend that. It's cheaper and goes faster than additional painting rounds.

@Hugo L.
Yes. thats true. Lucerne is in the Swiss-German-speaking part. Geneva is in the western french-speaking part.

You're welcome. It's very sturdy and normally used by professional garages to store tires of customers during winter.

Thanks guys for your support. Your kind words on my wife really motivated her for today: :rocker:

We did the second color. First protecting the floor, then measured with the laser. I rented that one for free from a local cabinetmaker:

Sweet.... are you finished now with painting, or are you going to apply the blue stripe on the edge of the white and grey ?

I bought the wheels last october for the Mazda but right, they are brand new. In the boxes are Enkei RPF-1 17x9 +45:

I did exactly this.:bounce:

@dubber
No. A Honda S2000 would need staggered, but the MX-5 is better with 17x9 all around.

Yesterday we did the blue stripe. Was a bit cold for the color but we decided to go forward. The preparational work took more time than the painting.

Color should more or less match

Then I did the Racedeck. Took me 2 1/2 hours:

Awesome job cleaning this shop up :) I'm looking forward to seeing the Finished Racedeck floor, I'm very envious of Your and Derricks Flooring (and all other racedeck floors) What are your plans for the walls? a few Banners couple of posters or clean look, Cheers Andy...

Taurus, that is looking great! Nice color match on the blues. It will be interesting to see you floor since you actaully broke your tiles apart on the black and alloy part where as I left mine 2'x2'. I can't wait to see more pictures.

Congratulations!

Please post us a picture of you and your fine lady having an intimate dinner (with celebratory champagne of course) in your NEW garage! That picture will be one for your memories album.

Oh my....
That's just so nice. It's making me think again about my choices for my home attached garage especially as I also have two blue cars..
:bowdown:

Was racedeck expensive on shipping costs?
