Yes it was. Especially the Swiss customs. You have to keep in mind I got 11 boxes with more than 200kg. But the guys at Racedeck US were very helpful and kind. In the end it was still cheaper than going for other solutions from mainland Europe.

Awesome! Just awesome! I like the refections of the tiles off the side of the mustang. Outstanding garage.

I knew this would turn out to be a stunning garage. I am impressed beyond words. I also love the driveway you have in front of the garage. So clean and sophisticated. You've got a heck of a great place.

Thanks guys. :) It's still not finished. I will now start with the interior. The lighting needs to be improved as well.

It's still not finished. .

They never are!

Sooo true. Its funny how i've fallen for that a couple of times. Before finishing one project you think that will be the end of it. Then your like, hmm, maybe i could add/change/move/remove/clean-up...[insert anything] haha.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the evolution.

Thanks.:) But I really plan to have it finished at a certain point - which means to stop spending money on the garage but waste it on the cars again.

I'm now going into the details. I was on a vintage car show today to get some metal plate pictures and other stuff but after checking all the vintage stuff I decided to keep the garage more or less clean. Will add som small accessoires but not too much.

Currently I'm assembling the Gladiator cabinets....

Could you PM me with the price you paid per m2 ? I've gotten a quote from RD NL's, but that's just as expensive as all the other PVC-tile providers...

Thanks

Thanks. We had a lot of fun doing it though it was exhausting. Easter Weekend will hopefully see some improvements. But we have snow again here in Lucerne.:(

Today my father was here for a visit and he brought some serious tools to go on with the build. So we finished the floor and installed the wall cabinets:

I built a small table to fit under the furniture:

More to come..

The back door leads to a small storage room and then to the cellar. The garage is on the back side of the house. You have to drive around the house to enter it. So nobody knows that there is the garage. You can't see it from the streets.

Here are some photos how it looks know:

Lol. you're using the exect components I was looking at online. :)

Ehm...not to be critical, but, eh.... the door.... you *have* to continue the blue stripe and the grey underneath on the door...I'm sure your wife will agree ;-)

Yeah, I'm really happy.:)

@Oscar
Yeah I already thought about that but since its a rented space I leave the door like it is. I also like it this way.

Concerning "before and after"-pics:

That's the money shot right there. And that's the great thing about it being a rental, beyond the paint you can take it all with you and it will still look nicer then when you first signed.

Today I installed the LED-lighting and the power point. The LED fits perfectly underneath the cabinets:

The door is not painted, it's coated. So I would ruin the door with a painting. The landlord does care about the doors but not about the concrete walls. Thats ok for me. Would look a bit weird with the stripe all over the door. I like this "cut" in between the paint scheme.;)

That seems like a very useful space you have there between the main house and the garage. The more photos you share, the more I think you should stop renting this place, and BUY it!

Thanks.:)

@55 cadillacking
The landlord would not sell it. But we might move again in some distance future anyway.

I' now have some pictures with an anthracite brushed aluminum frame ready but I'm not sure if I should put them onto the side walls. It's very clean now. I am more leaning to leave the side walls as they are. The pictures might reduce the clean look. What do you think?

Thats definitely the problem after cleaning everything up. Just keep it simple and use some sequence with a few pics. Is that your car and ...... lady?

If you put only 3 or 4 frames (the same ones), that will stay clean with an additional "touch of class"...
