Yes love the Subi too. At first the Mustang was my favourite dream car but after using the STI on a daily basis for a while the Stang just felt a bit weak and bulky. Despite similar power and weight figures the STI feels much sharper, more powerful and agile. It's a better drivers car. Sure it lacks the awesome V8 sound but I found myself more often in the Subi than the Stang. Sure the Stang looks better.

But though I really miss my American V8. :-(

Bought a little tool cart that fits perfectly under the work bench:

Hi gang, some recent images from the garage and my current project car - 2008 Miata:

I did not do too much on the garage itself, but spent quite some time preparing the Miata for track action.

How are the tiles holding themselves when you put the jack under the car. Do the little wheels make indentations, or is there no lasting effect ?

They hold up very well - no marks on the tiles. The only think I recognized is that black residue from tires/brakes is a bit difficult to clean because of the diamond pattern.

The Ohlins Road & Track is definitely the best mod I've ever done to a car.

Great looking garage! Love the STi and mx5. I got ohlins flag coils on my Evo. Def best mod (and most expensive) I've done to the car.

You have an incredibly clean looking garage! Looks awesome and so does your collection of cars. How common is the Mustang where you are? It doesn't seem like it would be a very common car to import.

Me too. I thought about KW and Bilstein but got a good deal on Ohlins and Brian Goodwin (CA-based Miata guru) stated it is by far the best (affordable) option on a Miata. I like it so much. It is comfortable but while cornering its near perfect.

PS: I really adore your garage and 911 build

@runt262
When I bought the Stang in 08 it was really a rare car here in Europe. But now it is increasingly common. It is the second most sold sports car in Switzerland (after the Porsche 911). I loved the V8, the looks, the feel - but I sold it to spend more time with the Miata. Maybe I'll get a 2015 Stang again, but my long term goal is set: Jaguar F-Type V8S

@Hopalong
Yeah, RPF1 are great - and so cheap and lightweight. Will become my trackwheels while the Wedsport will be my daily drivers.

Lots of Ohlins fans here then. :D

If I recall we saw about a 2 sec / lap improvement on the company MX5 NC when moving from the Bilsteins to Ohlins (also supplied by Goodwin).

Yeah, its a joy to drive.

But here's the bad news: We have to leave this place till July so I have to give up this garage after roughly a year. Since it is a rented place and our landlord wants to move in again. :-(

I don't know if I ever find another place like this again in Switzerland...

Sorry i have to say it, NO WONDER he wants to move in.... I mean you did him a huge favor.

Well just look at this as a new challenge and a new blank canvas.

Thanks man. That's life.

Well just look at this as a new challenge and a new blank canvas.

Well, that is exactly what I do. It is extremely difficult to find a nice place here if you aren't a millionaire, but I'll do my best. Let's see.

Best wishes for finding an even better space. I like to believe that (most) things happen for a reason and perhaps your next home & garage will suit you even better!

Let me pull some strings and we can set you up next door to me, here in Canada! I hope your home search is successful. At least you have a decent amount of time between now and July.

Thanks - I'm drunk now after having signed the contract today and partying. Current place is 34.5 sqm, new place is 41 sqm.;) Only downside is the two doors instead of a big one. I'll have to be patient till April to get in...

Thanks. I can't stand the waiting period till April. Today I started to dissassemble my current garage. Was a bit sad about that but I'm looking forward to the new place...
