BTW, The walls of glass looking out on the backyard are sweet!

Yeah, unfortunately I can't drive my cars there to see them while sitting in the living room.:D

We'll get the keys on April 1st. Then I'll post some pics.;)

Hey guys - I moved and I'm back on the internet.:D

Last week I disassembled my old garage. I love my Racedeck:

Then I found out something funny. I used strong black tape to cover the edges left free for the Racedeck to move with temperature. Funnily the tape works great as a trap for woodlouses. So my floor under the racedeck was basically free of animals:

Quick, write a patent and sell the tape as a trap for wood lice.:D

There is a quite sizeable room behind the garage. I still don't know how to use it properly. Will see...

The old floor will be out soon...

Wow! This is amazing. Here we are guys from all over the world admiring each other's creativity. I have read every single post. Job well done, and you were able to make lemonaid out of lemons! Congrats on your new home.
I have a pole barn that I am going to be remodeling as funds allow, especially hard on fixed income of Social Security.
I'll be following your posts with eagerness.

Good idea but I'm not into motocycles. Maybe I leave it as a storage and ad a workbench or something. It's second priority.

@Sunbimmer, TiFJ & UN4GTBL
Many thanks guys. I'm happy to have a place like this now!

@4AudiQ
Thanks for your kind words. Yes its a passion we here understand but most people ou there can't understand why men build man caves. It's in our genes. :D I love your car! An '91 Audi B2 was my first love!

Did some cleaning work on the garage. The former tenants really didn't care for the place:

This caused standing water in the garage in heavy rain.

Ugly - I got it out with heavy chemicals.

The ugly crappy floor needed to be removed:

That was a special color for the last few Audi B3 sold in 1991. Its called "ceresia metalic". The car came with lots of special options like the Kamei Bodykit.

Alright - we got the Racedeck back in:

I need more tiles than in the old place. I had quite a few spare tiles from every color so we had to be creative how to use them. My-father-in-law was a great help for me.:)

I'm not sure if I leave the walls white now. I really liked the grey/blue striping in the old garage, but the new one looks very clean without it. What do you think?

Very nice. Totally transformed with the racedeck. That garage looks massive compared to your last one. Lots of room round the cars. Looks a lot wider.

You are right. Its a bit shorter but much wider. I have 6 sqm more. You can really feel it. Ceiling is much higher as well - a very roomy space for a two-car garage. I'm really happy and still have lots of ideas what to do with the place.

Looks really good in there. As to your paint question i think it looks great just white. With Race Deck floors i like the look of a plain wall and let the floor do the talking :)

The new space looks great! And it looks way more usable with the extra working space. :beer:

Personally, I like the white walls, but your old space with the the gray and blue stripe was also nice... Either way it'll look good!

PS. How do you like the Ohlins on the Miata? What spring rates did you pair them with? I've thought about getting a set for my '06, but mods to the Miata went on the backburner when I picked up the 7 last fall...

So guys - I was heavily occupied in the last weeks but did some minor improvements in the garage as well. At first some more images:

Yes, you convinced me to leave it like that. I decided to keep the walls white but add some pictures.

Great choice. Looks so nice. Really lets the floor and the accessories do the talking.
