I've got a 30x60 motron pole building. Have a modine 65,00 hanging heater and set up for in floor heat with 1800 ft of pexs.Shop will drop from 55 to about 35 after 24 hrs with heat off outside temp in the 10-10 below range.Think I can use a 50 gal gas water heater to get 55 temp on floor heat using hanging heater as backup? I just need this for one year as I hope to be able to get a gas boiler or a outside stove by next year.

It has 3 side windows, two 3' walk though doors, and a 10x10 and a14x14 overhead doors. It seems to lose about 25-30 degress in 24 hrs.By that I mean I had the shop at 55 last winter I turned the heat off and it was still above 35, 24 hrs later. It got down between 10-19 below zero that night and the day time temp was around 10 above. If I turn off the heat it takes 2-3 days to freeze water in the shop. It's got r-19 in the side walls and r40-r50 in the ceiling. Lined with osb on side walls and tin on ceiling with vapor barrier all door and window are top quality insulated..
