I know these exist but I cant seem to find them anywhere. I'm looking for a single piston in ground lift but I need it to be flush mount. I've seen them at Sears where the piston head is flush with the floor and only the part that makes contact with the frame ( The "X" I would call it) sticks out 2-3 inches at most. Anyone have a link?

Rotary makes these, last time I checked. You may need to contact them to get the right catalog as they are not common.

At one time I considered doing one, then realized that there were too many downsides. Limits center of vehicle access, no parking two over and under, etc., led me to get a two post lift in the end.

I'd like to do a 4 post or even a 2 post but the condo I'm building has a garage right at 20x32 with 10' cielings so I'd rather have something low profile and out of the way so I can still move all the ATV's/Cars/etc around. Found it! http://www.rotarylift.com/templateProduct.aspx?id=722

Now to see if the accessories that attach to it are removable...

I have that lift, and you can remove the above-ground portions, but you won't want to. They are seriously heavy, and held on with big bolts. I can take pics if you want.
