Does anyone know a company that manufactures in ground hoists, or do you have to find a used one? I have one Rotary infloor cylinder which were used as pairs (sliding into position), has anyone tried to utilize them as a single hoist or just haul it to the recycler? Thanks for your reply

Rotary "Smart Lift" I believe they are called.

enclosed cassette design, so no chance of ground leakage.

I've used them at dealerships. Would LOVE to have one at home, but couldn't stomach the (at least) DOUBLE in price over a 2 post. I want to say something like $8000 or $10000+ for one installed due to the excavation & concrete work involved.

Thanks for the responses. I was actually looking for the old single post in ground hoist, maybe they are a thing of the past. They do not take up any room in the shop unlike the four post solid lifts. Maybe someone should start to make them again as I am sure they would be popular

They are outlawed in alot of places, because they leak out into the ground and the epa ain't happy about that. Could be areal peoblem when you go to sell, hazard clean up is very costly. I had a budy from n. jersey he had to park has truck over it when it got inspected, I would be cocerned. I got a mechanic 2 poster, no oil no hassel, for 500.00 John
