Since most of us work on our own cars you could also do some cool mods to it like having removable deck sections down the center of the top so you be in the inside cavity and work on the underside of the car up top.....like your own 10 minute oil change pit.

Exactly. I was thinking, what the hell is the point of these? You'd lift a car so you can work under it...but the deck is solid

The lift takes the car down into the basement of the garage........ I have seen these lifts on multi level residential garages and city parking garages.
This appears to be a "hot deal" but it is a "white elephant" that will most likely be sold for scrap.

I think it would be super sweet to use in a normal residential 2.5 car garage and not too bad to install (assuming new construction). I can envision it now.....having a small boat/on trailer under my car and a small popup trailer (or classic car) under my wife's car. Only have to mess with the elevator when I want to play with the toys. Also my idea of having removable plates down the center for a poor man's mechanic pit. You could always fill it in if you change your mind our to sell the house....couple dumps of sand pushed in and some concrete.

Those are not going to be easy to remove, and if the house is up for demolition, when the time comes it must be gone. Install though will be crazy. Most of use have pipes running below the slab, someplace.

OTOH I do like the idea.
