Hi,
Im an apprentice maintenance plumber/jack of all trades, that means i do a wide range if jobs and can be 300-400m away from my vehicle.

Currently have veto pro backpack (that ends up somewhete close to 40kg full) but much prefer my little tech lc.

Starting to try and figure out some form of fold up trolley arrangement and looking for ideas?

Thanks

Are you traveling over hard surfaces or bare ground? Mostly inside or outside? Are you carrying spare parts plus tools?

where are you? as in what is the weather like that could affect all the suggestions you would get?

take a look at the several plastic box solutions ie Dewalt Toughsystem, Bosch/Sortimo LBOXX, Systainer, Milwaukee has one, etc etc. I like these for power tools and let's say for instance all your tile stuff in one box, all your fittings can be sorted by type in one, and so on.

Could also go for ammo can style boxes, I like the Flambeau ones because they have the waterproof gasket and stack pretty well together. Great for something that you always need like a drill, but that you would be carrying with other boxed items.

Something like a Veto is great for hand tools & diag tools, but I can't see a plumber using either the LC or the backpack being great for much else.

I'd look hard at Bosch L-Boxx. I bought both dollies, the flat one and the folding hand truck style, and find myself only using the flat one. It rolls incredibly nicely, thick carpet being about the roughest surface you'll want to use it on. For stairs or gravel, the hand truck style is good, but I do wish the boxes clicked into the dolly.

If you go L-Boxx, the biggest mistake u made was buying too many of the larger boxes. After working with them a bit I ended up spending more to get the ones that hold either an open drawer or the i-box drawer.

The best setup for me is two stacks, with individual drawer frames on the bottom separated by lids strategically, one stack topped off with an L-Boxx 3D, and one topped off with a regular 3. The whole shebang is about 5 feet tall on the dolly, and I normally don't need to unstack but if I do, just separating the two stacks gives me full access to everything.

I do love my L-Boxx stuff and looked real hard at the options before I dropped over a grand on it, but at the time Milwaukee Packout wasn't around. I'm afraid to look too closely at it for fear it'd be better for my needs.
