in wall direct vent NG heater

I am building a 32 x 24 garage w 11 foot ceiling. I had planned on using a radiant tube heater but our heating guy who's doing duct work for the living space above is suggesting otherwise. He's said a direct vent, in wall natural gas heater would be good, something like this one http://www.gaslinkpropane.com/empireheatingsystems.html

I have no experience with these and haven't seen any shops with them. Our garage will be used for autobody work, some spray painting and general car stuff. I don't want open flame etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of heater?

If you are spray painting more than an occasional rattle can, invest in an hour or two worth of professional consultation with a mechanical engineer to ensure that you have a safe, healthy and dependable installation. You are dealing with a potentially hazardous situation.

Thanks Redsky. This garage will be temporarily divided into 2 different bays with venting from the front to rear with a 7200 cfm fan during painting. I don't intend to have the heater on during painting, the heater will be in the non-painting bay, I'll also make sure that the ignition is spark vs pilot light. Good points though.

My main thing is, how well will this type of unit heat a garage vs the radiant tube. The heat guy has suggested that if you're working under the heat tube your head feels hot...

I'm looking for real life experiences.
