In What Applications are Tamper-Resistant Hex Keys Used?

In what applications are Tamper-Resistant Hex Keys Used?
I have a set of Tamper-Resistant Torx Keys, but never could recall the last time I came across Tamper-Resistant Hex. Are they as common as the Torx?

I could only find Bondhus mass-producing such a type of tamper-resistant keys, whereas lots of other companies make Torx Keys as far as the tamper-resistant category is concerned.

How many Allen Keys (in general) is too many?

Also, When I was at sears their Digital camera's were attached to retractable cords connected with the security hex keys.

Phone Booths. Remember those? The license plate on my horse trailer. (Bought the security hex sheet metal screws at Lowes after old one fell off or was stolen.) Some video game console I repaired once had them....

In my area, every single screw in school washrooms are tamper resistant hex. I figure they're worried about people stealing the urinal dividers

I'm sure most DIY'ers don't own a Tamper Resistant Hex, unless they work on a particular vehicle or service electronics / power tools as another user here put it. Thanks a lot. I was almost about to purchase a set.

Why is it that the doors to a Bathroom stall at airports are held together by these, torx, or any other modern fastener while the door and other parts of the plane I just got off of was mostly philips.

Clearly we're not using technology properly.

Exactly, most of us are familiar with the tamper-resistant torx and not the tamper-resistant hex; that's why I needed to ask,

Tamper resistant fasteners are generally used when someone desires that they only be removed by select individuals.
Haven't had one stop me yet.

Because keys are there specialty. Lots of companies make the SAE bits and maybe keys, the metric are far more rare. The metrics are what I have used on a very rare occasion, so I have both sets from Bondhus, like all my other hex keys are Bondhus.

You would be SHOCKED on what people steal or just want to take apart. There is no rhyme or reason to what people like to vandalize. Trust me.

I will echo what others have said here, we use the **** out of them in the park setting (playgrounds, signs, bathrooms, etc.)

Some machinery serial number plates use them.
You can use a center punch to flatten the pin and then use a regular hex or Torx.

Just adding to the list; center consoles in cop cars, hold the radio, siren module, lightbar switches n such (and cupholder. Very important). Saw my first ones the other day & I've been working in the radio shop for 5 years. Grrr!
