Well, the neighbor has these tools in an old red box and wants to sell them but I don't know what there worth. I know majority of them are wood bits but maybe the era would help. Any info on these is a plus, also if anyone is interested in purchasing any of these or the whole lot make me an offer and we can go from there.

The bits with the square shanks go with the bit brace, (the hand crank gizmo) and are strictly for wood or similar materials. one of the bits has an adjustable outer cutter for any size hole within it's range. You also have a reamer for the bit brace in that last pic.

The tapered shank drills are for use directly in the spindle of a MT2/3 (guessing) drill press, not used a lot these ,except in very largest size drills, if then.

Nome are particularly valuable. (I got a complete set of bit brace drills (15 of them plus an adjustable Dia Bit) in like new condition last weekend along with a pile of other stuff for $12)

well that helps, I figured they mostly went with the ratchet drill, i didn't think they were worth anything but figured I would ask.

Although I agree that most of that isn't worth much, I think the bit brace is a very underestimated tool in today's world.

That I won't argue with a bit (No pun intended  ). I have used them (I have 2 or 3 Braces and now two sets of augers, plus a set of "Bruno" bits with one shank and a half dozen bit tips for it.) and they do well, particularly in soft woods. I also use a two speed "eggbeater" breast drill for driving deck screws and it works great! Hand tools are VERY underestimated.

The drill with the tapered shank is probably a Morse taper, for use in a drill press with a corresponding taper spindle(pretty rare these days) or a lathe.
