Indestro case

Picked the set up for $2 mostly indestro, with a couple of c-man, and bonnet. Found this label inside case, did they sell sets in cheap plastic cases?

My Indestro set came to me through my dad's estate, is in a steel box, and works like new.

Yes, it is a 7600 set, shown below from the 1959 catalog. The plastic box had a clear plastic lid and most of them have lids that are either broken or lost. I have two of them here somewhere. Very difficult to find them with the lids in one piece.
The 1972 catalog shows it as a 7600A, so I would assume yours is probably 1960's.
Looks like you've got some other brands poked in there as well.
