A place near me is selling lots of assorted Indestro sockets at a very handsome price. Should I go buy a heap of them?

Are these new or old? If new, they are probably from Asia. Someone has reintroduced the brand with tools made overseas. They have them on Sears.com

Gotcha, I might pick up a pile then. They did have USA stamps but didn't seem wholly special or anything so I didn't pick any up till I got the GJ verdict.
