Double "D" was used on Trico vacuum windshield wiper motors. Relatively small size, male heads.
"Clutch" head screws used a "butterfly" driver, but the fastener had a head recess that had a pattern that looked somewhat like the drive being discussed, except instead of parallel flats, the head recess was narrower toward the center, sometimes with a circular recess at the very center. The "butterfly" driver had sharp corners that dug into the recess at the point the flats changed into the radius.
Some clutch head screws have a recess very much like the drive discussed, probably as a cheaper version. A driver for these would be like a round rod with flats cut on opposite sides.
All "clutch" drives are much smaller than the one being discussed.
