A comment regarding 3/8" hex drive socket sets made me curious, so I had to do some looking.

These are the only listings I can find for 3/8" hex drive socket sets made by Indestro:
oops! I didn't dig deep enough. see post #52 below:

Indestro 2103 2104 2105 2106 'Pee Wee' 3.8 hex drive SAE socket set - 1937 Indestro catalog pp 3.jpg Indestro 2103 2104 2106 2137 'Pee Wee' 3.8 hex drive SAE socket sets - 1948 Indestro catalog No..jpg

Indestro 2104 2107 'Pee Wee' 3.8 hex drive SAE socket set - Indestro catalog No. 20 pp 64.jpg Indestro 2104 2137 'Pee Wee' 3.8 hex drive SAE socket set - 1959 Indestro catalog No. 22 pp 38.jpg

(* Note I have not been able to establish a date for catalog No. 20. My best guess is 1953-1955 *)
(* Note that all four of the 'Pee Wee' 3/8" hex drive sets shown in the 1948 catalog No. 16 have a red line drawn through the part number, indicating the item has been discontinued, yet inexpicably both the model 2104 and 2137 sets reappear in both the later catalog No. 20 and the 1959 catalog No. 22.)
(* I did not find any listings for 3/8" hex drive in the 1935 catalog or the 1972 catalog No. 55.)

(* NOTE ALSO that the dates which have been assigned to these catalogs may or may not be correct. Alloy-Artifacts is in error about the date on at least one Indestro catalog, if not more. I may be mistaken as well about the dates on a few of mine. Unfortunately they don't all have dates printed on them! BK )

Another oddity
here in the '38 jensen Byrd catalog a ball swivel adapter is shown, seeminly not to reappear till the last '80's catalog.

I completely missed this page while searching for 3/8" hex drive socket sets made by Indestro.
These models were shown in the 1935 catalog.
Note that their 3/8" hex drive "PeeWee" sets in the 1935 catalog don't resemble anything they made later.
Note also that single sockets were available, as well as all the component pieces. (On the opposite side of the same page are listings for single 1/4" hex drive sockets.)
The 1935 Indestro catalog is available for download in *.pdf format at ToolArchives.com

* broken up into three pieces here so you can see it:

Found a PeeWee 3/8 hex drive set like the 10 piece set.

Although it seems like the catalog shorts themeselves, I count nine sockets, the metal box, and the allen wrench for 11 pieces. Did they not count the box?

At the same time I thought I'd found the 7 piece slip on set from the same catalog page, same plating, knurling, and sizes, but only marked JAPAN on each socket.

Indestro and Indestro Super Tappet Wrench Obstruction Wrench Ignition Wrench Adjustable Wrench catalog pages from various years:
Indestro obstruction tappet wrench 1935 Indestro catalog pp 8.jpg
1935 Indestro catalog pp 8 - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
Indestro open end obstruction tappet wrench 1937 Indestro catalog pp 8-9.jpg
1937 Indestro catalog pp 8-9 - open end wrench - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
Indestro open end obstruction tappet wrench 1948 Indestro catalog No. 16 pp 44-45.jpg
1948 Indestro catalog No. 16 pp 44-45 - open end wrench - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
Indestro adjustable obstruction tappet wrench 1950s Indestro catalog No. 20 pp 26-27.jpg
1950s * Indestro catalog No. 20 pp 26-27 - adjustable wrench - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
(* I believe the year of this catalog to be 1953 or 1954, based on the patent date for their RHFT ratchet *)
Indestro open end tappet obstruction ignition wrench 1964 Indestro catalog No. 22A pp 22-23.jpg1964 * Indestro catalog No. 22A pp 22-23 - open end wrench - obstruction wrench - ignition wrench - tappet wrench -
(* I do not believe this catalog to have been published in 1964. I believe that Alloy-Artifacts made the same error as the Ebay seller from whom I purchased this copy, which was accompanied by a 1964 price list clearly marked "applies to catalog No. 22A".
(1.) Note that Catalog No. 22A shows the address of Indestro at 2649 N. Kildare Ave, Chicago 39, U.S.A.
The United States Postal Service introduced Zip Codes in 1964.
Compiling a catalog and sending it to a printer is a lengthy and very deliberate process requiring an enormous investment in manpower and money. I very seriously doubt that the executives at Indestro weren't aware that Zip Codes were being introduced that year.
(2) On page 23, note that the shanks on the ignition wrenches are curved. Now take a look at page 27 of the 1962 Duro-Chrome catalog No. 37M (below), on which you will find ignition wrenches with straight shanks.
Are we to believe that Duro-Chrome re-tooled and began production of straight shank ignition wrenches, while in some far-off corner in the same building Indestro was still cranking out curved shank ignition wrenches two years later?
The gap in the logic of that assumption requires a bridge too far.
(3) There are innumerable inexplicable examples of the implausible when one begins the process of picking the gnat **** out of the black pepper.
I will leave it to the reader to draw his own conclusions.

I believe Indestro catalog No. 22A was published in 1959.
Indestro ignition obstruction tappet wrench 1964 Indestro catgalog No. 22MA pp 23.jpg
1964 * Indestro catalog No. 22MA pp 23 - ignition wrench - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
(* see notes above regarding Indestro catalog No. 22A. The "MA" was the pocket-sized "mechanics" version.)
Duro Chrome ignition obstruction tappet wrench 1962 Duro Chrome catalog No. 37M pp 27.jpg
1962 Duro-Chrome catalog No. 37M pp 27 - ignition wrench - obstruction wrench - tappet wrench
