Is there anything I need to know about indexable pry bars?

Are the cheap Asian ones OK? Yes, I'm serious. Not trying to start a war.

I would be using it for construction and renovation, so loads would probably be more reasonable than an industrial setting.

I'm thinking about a 24" but I see some extendible bars that would fit in my toolbox. Are the extendible bars OK?

Any advice?

I briefly owned a GearWrench extending indexable pry bar. It just fit my road box and seemed heavy duty. The very few times I used it it would flex far more than I was comfortable with and I was afraid to lean on it at even half extension. I would recommend either an indexable bar or an extendable one but not the combination.

Yes, dont get any extendable indexing bars. I have the craftsman set and they are great. It really is amazing how they work. They are extremely durable and can get you out of a jam when you need them.

Define cheap import?

The craftsmans are made in Taiwan and are very good.

Also, these will not like the dirt much. If you are working around that much, i'd look for a fixed pry bar.
