I've never had decent pry bars, just used whatever was laying around the farm shop.

Anyone have experience they would share on the tool in general, and/or the SK set in particular ?

Are they used as what I call "jimmy" bars, or can you really crank on them ?

I don't think the small ones would see much use, and the three footers would put a lot of pressure on the joint. What size(s) would you suggest ?

Example:

I've got a few. 4 piece Proto angled and claw-hook set and an 18" Proto with a screwdriver type handle.Like most other things a guy thinks he doesn't "need" you wind up reaching for them constantly.
Index-able ?

I have experience with the Snap-on ones and I personally own the craftsman ones. Both of them are tough and they are certainly the kind of pry bars you can out some muscle behind. You'd be suprised how useful those things are, I especially like the small one for pulling out seals.

Over a hundred for the SK set, I don't like spending that much on an unknown value.

Any USA other than the SK and Snap-on ?

I like the mayhem ones, had mine for years and beat the hell out of them with no issues.
