I put my old toolbox on Craigslist if anyone nearby would be interested. I bought a Classic 78 so I have no use for this one. Not sure on the mfg,old Kennedy, vidmar, etc? It's a heavy duty box, I could stand in all the drawers.5 foot wide,28" deep. As listed, price is best offer. I'd do $400,and I have a tractor to load it with.

It is, I've had it over a year. Not really traced it down who made it. It's fairly old but it almost holds more than my Snap On box does.lol.

The inside is greyish colored. The outside had been repainted when I bought it.

I will be in Evansville with the ole lady for Christmas with her family this year. Too bad I don't need another box, that one looks to be in good condition.

Gonna stop in at The Gerst Haus one night with some friends I am sure. Always a good time.

Merry Christmas!

Dam, thats a nice box and not too awful far of a trip. If I had the room I'd be on that in a minute simply bc of the size and big drawers.

Agreed on the Vidmar ID. Those handles are a big clue for me.
Seller must not be a GJ'er!

I always figured it to be a Vidmar but haven't seen another like it. I'm the seller, and I want it gone. lol. It's funny how demand changes from region to region. Some other part of the country , it'd be gone already.

So those chrome strips...they're handles for drawers that go the entire length of the box? Tough to see in the pictures. That would be pretty Vidmar-ish.

Had you posted this a month ago when I was looking for a second box, I'd have definitely driven the 3.5-4 hours to see it and perhaps buy. 6 full-length 28" deep drawers is a layout that would have been worth it for me. Instead, I went down to HF and bought another box.

Take a pic of the slides and if it is a Vidmar, list it as such and you may have an easier time selling it.

Ok, youve got me sniffing the bait a bit more on this one. Out of curiosity, how much do you suppose it weighs?

I will get some pictures of the slides tomorrow and post. Not sure what a classic 78 weighs but it weighs more than that by a hundred pounds more easily. Two people can push it up the ramp of a enclosed trailer. It's got skids underneath for a forklift and I have a tractor with forks so it could get loaded easy enough.

Correct on the handles, they are all narrow and the drawers are all full length.

So can anyone say whether it's a vidmar by the slides or not? I'm no expert on these old industrial cabinets.

WOW,

If I were you I'd keep it and use it for other storage. IE: nuts, bolts, or anything else.

I see it has divider slots. And you can always add small bins like these.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-pcs-Drawer-Organizer-Storage-Bins-Toolbox-Organizer-Dividers-fit-Lista-Vidmar-/380611824352?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item589e3b8ae0

If you have the room, use it under a workbench. If too tall, take off the casters.

For 400.00 you will NEVER be able to buy this good heavy duty storage.

Your silly to sell it if you have the room and don't need the money !

Just my 2 cents.

My storage situation now doesn't allow me to really keep it. I can't incorporate it into my current workbench set up and I've got another smaller toolbox as well. Just trying to get some money back after the Classic 78 purchase. I know I'd never be able to buy another setup for that money. A comparable box with that kind of storage would run several thousand.

Damnit, if I wasn't temporarily moving in with my parents in my move to Indy I'd take it off your hands.

I hear ya, but go back and read your first post, it doesn't seem that IDing was your main quest. And as a reseller, I certainly don't blame you for posting it here, I'm just calling you and the mods on it. Doesn't matter cause you already got the exposure and I hope you get it sold.

Well I didn't necessarily want to list it in the classifieds for the purpose of locals only. And the classifieds prohibit from linking to another site/classifieds. The only one interested I sent a private message to,I'm trying to keep it towards identifying the box.
