A week ago I had the garage floor of my new house (2004) coated by Nate of Garage Force.
Garage was totally empty and the floor was in great condition to start with.
He came out a week prior and performed several moisture readings and then prepared and quoted 420 sq ft including the curbing around the base of the walls and the apron going out to the driveway.
Started at 8:00am, 1st coat and chip was done by 12:00 and they let it cure for a little over an hour before scraping the high spots and applying clear coat.
Was done by 3:00pm. Floor was cured for foot traffic within 3 hours.
I opted for polyurea Desert Tan with Full Chip. Figure about $1600.
Well worth it.
I waited 3 days before driving on it. With the house sealed up (vacant) and the garage door closed the fumes hung around awhile, but by Fathers Day it was okay.
Wife loves it, and I think the color goes well with our exterior brick and trim colors. I hope it goes well with the colors I am planning to paint the interior walls.
FYI..he said they typically used 45-55 lbs of chips on a floor this size, but they went over 65 lbs before they finished.
