Yep, Elroy came out of the closet tonight. And look what he has, two make-up cases and THREE leather purses

Picture061.jpg

But wait. There is more than what the eye can see.

Yep. an old discarded purse makes a dandy drill motor case:

And hex key pouch:

But these only become available on a limited basis so this evening Elroy picked up these USA made Klein zipper bags:

Something about leather that Elroy likes

Yep leather is great.

So the next time the wife wants a new leather purse maybe you speak up and do what Elroy did and come out of the closet and let the world see your leather. :pimpflash

Elroy I dig the Proto 500 leather tool wrap and the Proto Professional wrenches.
Those old makeup cases are build well and are good for more than just makeup.
The wife and I use them a lot in the house to store stuff.

don't you worry Elroy.... most of us know you're no girly-man.

If anybody gives you any **** about your sissy storage accessories ???

hit em with your purse.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

Just don't wave your other hand all in the air while you hit them and say something like "take that you big meanie" with a lisp

If you work with your buddies, It may look a little "George Micheal" to be holding purses and power tools at the same time.:lol_hitti

Elroy... You got to quit posting stuff like that. There are other people here whom are also from Kentucky that don't want that kind of association being thought of as typical between us.

Where ya' from? I was born in Vine Grove, right next to Elizabethtown, myself.

I realise this thread is meant to be funny, but it's still pretty ignorant (both title and content).

hey, how 'bout that? The PC Police stopped in and told us to keep it down. How do you bend over a fender to work on your engine with that stick in there?

My wife had a leather skirt she couldn't wear any more, and we either pitched it or donated it or something. I wish I'd have kept it to make a neck guard for my welding helmet.

Making a wrench holder like that cool Proto one would have been a good idea too!

I applaud Elroy's creativity...but I gotta say, tools belong in metal boxes and cases, not make-up cases and purses.

I'm hardly the PC police. Would it be so funny if the joke were on a black guy? You know, like the president.

Yeah Elroy! "***" is not politically correct. You might offend some of our garage brothers.

That may be true but, I have noticed alot of candy *** whine posts I.E.Billymade was attacked by some guy for a "looks like Taiwan"comment, I was blamed for being racist about Asian people;because I prefer USA tools and don't like the sneeky relabeling. I've worked in professional garages all my life from military to .....you name it. This is the age where we are supposed to walk on egg shells so someone doesn't get their ******* in a bunch, don't all seem like garage guys to me. here comes another one now:willy_nil

There are some really neat, small, aluminium make-up cases in the shops in the UK. I bought a couple, gave the stuff inside to my granddaughter and used the cases for power tools.

...and I didn't wear shades and a hat when I went in the shop.

Those cases bring back memories from my child hood of when I used to go to my Grandma's down in Oklahoma. She used to keep all her Bingo daubers in one of them. They're tough as hell.

Oh, and Elroy. . . maybe next time try using "Flamer" instead of "***." Might not rustle as many feathers. :bounce:

I have nail polish, I have the exact shade of green for brake lines. If any are starting to bubble or have been chipped I clean them up make sure theres no corrosion (I used to MOT inspect so know hwat I'm looking for before anyone pitches in on that) then once they were clean, dry and ready I would paint them with my green nail polish.

I also have silver as its cheaper than tippex (correction fluid) for marking up things.

Face wipes are good at cleaning greasy tools.

Folding miorrors are handy as hell.

Tampons are awesome for sucking oil out of things

the list goes on

I think this entire thread is disturbing! :shocking:
Tools don't belong in makeup cases -- especially ones that look like they belong to someone's sweet old granny.:bounce:

Excellent observation. That thing will hurt ya too. :wtf:

You Midwestern conservatives never cease to surprise me with your secret vices.:shocking:

That's OK Elroy, we love and respect you without regard for your alternative tool storage lifestyle.:)

the zero haliburton make-up case is a great one. it's made of aluminum and is both water and dust proof. i used one when i was a chauffeur to keep my lunch and maps, etc. in. i traded it years later for some 2-way radio equipment when i was a courier. the guy that i traded it to used it for radio tools and such.

I really thought this thread was going to be about bearings.

The gloves pictured on the home page picture just don't sell well in some areas.

I used *** bearings quite a lot in gearboxes etc for lorries.

Yeah bullet wounds are a good use for them.

I find superglue to be good to seal up slices, slashes on yourself.

Saves questions at the hospital...

Damn your hide Elroy! Where was this post four days ago!

This past weekend, I finally did a basement clean-out at my parents' house.
Tossed five of those make-up cases into the dumpster, that kind of use never even occurred to me.

D'OH! :lol_hitti

If you and most of the Board think this thread was meant to be funny, And Elroy was making fum of himself with NO ****** slurs or degrade anyone else where is the harm?

This "Politically Correct BS is going to far. Anyone who makes a statement about any thing is wrong if it offends anyone. This is BS.
