Little bags like MSC ships small items in. The bags are like 3x5 or so.

Misc. Fractional in one, Misc. #'s in another, and letters in yet another. After a few uses I spray wd40 into the bag real quick and the bits stay nice.

Yea, but kinda to keep them in a case of sorts.

I just realized these cases are called indexes...silly me. Might have helped in my original search.

Thanks guys.

when I get bulk bit's they come in a clear film canister type container with a lid on them, I find they work well to keep bulk bit's in if that is what you are after. I could try and find a source for them if you would like I dont imagine they would be too expensive. otherwise if you are storing individual bit's buy one of those empty cases or use a piece of wood, My neighbor has his common bit's on wood mounted to the stand his drill press is on works great for him and the bit's are always close by.

I have several drill bit and screw extractor sets that come in appropriate carrying cases.. however I have alot of loose/individual bits too. My problem is I put them all in a 2" drawer so I can't really "stand them up" like putting them in a block of wood/etc. I wonder about maybe making or trying to find something like a wrench roll w/ smaller loops to hold individual bits. Just an idea that just popped in my head.

I use those small storage boxes made by Dewalt for my misc loose stuff. They are like $5 at Lowes/HD. They have compartments inside that you can configure to fit lots of stuff.
