Looking for suggestions on a quality torx bit as pictured. I need multiple sizes.

I usually buy them in the end caps at the box store after Christmas but they come assorted with Phillips, square. flat, etc.

looking for packages of bits.
Thanks, Joe

Go to the hardware store, find the screws with that drive size. Go to the back of that drawer find a new box. There will usually be a new driver included with it. Your helpful hardware guy will usually let u have it for free!

If you want to appreciate good bits skip the big box stores.

Vessel on Amazon JP a good deal if you are spending a few hundred on Japanese tool goodness to save on shipping.

McMaster Carr has individual size specific bits. Got Zephyrs in my last order. Would ask them ahead of ordering if you want to know the brand.

DPRD for PB Swiss.

Have been trying to get MAC RBRT when they have all of the sizes I want in stock, at $4 a bit they are a bit pricey especially if I need to break up the order and pay shipping twice, but their allen RBRT are something to behold.

The best - PB Swiss. Closely followed by Zephyr.

The good - Witte (German made), Wera (the regular ones, not the pointless “torsion”), Snap On and Apex.

PB offer a small discount if you buy a pack of 10.

Wera offer packs of 10, 20 or more at fair prices, but if you start using decent bits you won’t get through many.68FD5A78-49A5-4EF0-A524-15800A462986.jpeg

They also offer packs with different sizes, which may be more useful for you.B205640B-C2FB-4BA5-8EBC-5A13FDE492E2.jpeg

Don’t know how Wera are priced for you though. They are “mid price” for me. You might be better served by a U.S. maker.

Consider buying from an industrial supplier (MSC?) rather than the box stores.

A few years ago I built a deck, all the screws I bought we T15 so I bought a package or 25. I think I used two bits to build the deck! I have T15 bits every where!

I asked some guys who build ramps. They said they use either DeWalt or Makita. One will last them 8-10 ramps. Their tips wear off because they start the impact spinning before pressing the tip into the screw.
