I'm thinking of using either 100w or 150w fixtures by Everlast in a new 24' x 26' x 10' pole barn. Anyone have any experience with this type of fluorescent lighting?

The major advantage of induction is low maintenance cost. The life of a discharge vessel is above any HID option.

Not sure the future low maintenance and operating cost will offset the stratospheric cost of the lights. They are usually used where the fixture is mounted in a virtually inaccessable location, and future bulb replacement or maintenance would be very expensive.

Fixture cost isn't so bad: approx. $225 for 150w. I need three for general illumination; one over each bay in a three-car garage. I plan to use T8 fluorescents for perimeter work lighting.
