Cool. 70 pounds! Bet it gets heavy by 5pm. So what exactly do you do?

It looks like it's one of the Stanley roller boxes that Lowes sells. I have one, it's fairly nice, albeit I'd be amazed if it held up for long with 70 pounds of gear being rolled around in many industrial environments.

Yes because I hardly need to carry my 8pt stuff. The only time I use 6pt is on rounded fasteners or in my air ratchet

Ahh makes sense, what type of industry are you in that you see a lot of square fasteners? or is that something all millwrights would deal with?

by the way to marnav1 thats a multimeter to measure voltage, current, and resistance

Lumber mill. And alot of industrial environments use square head fasteners

That's interesting stuff!

I'm in the field of designing steel mill equipment, and we've been known to use a lot of Socket head fasteners, which I see you carry tools for.
Can't say I've ever come across sq. head fasteners, other than set screws, though I've only been at it for 4 years!

My brother has been a millwright for the last 20 years or so after he got out of farming. He started with a gray Craftsman metal carry box and red tray. It was so loaded with tools he made a little steel cart to pull it around (it weighed as much as the box I think!) I wonder if he still has it....

Yea. The only drawback to where I work is that I have to carry my tools back and forth everyday but that also means I have them at home when I need them

Nice stuff.
What's that red thing around the ratchet handles?

It is a simple holder i made so that my ratchets dont take up as much space.

they are held in place with a magnets at the back and so far im pritty happy with it.

Another old millwright here. Been at the Old Town, Maine paper mill since 1984. As the paper industry has struggled here, it was originally Penobscot Chemical Fiber Co (for about 100 years), then Diamond International, then James River (when I started), then Fort James (Fort Howard- James River merger), then Georgia Pacific, who abruptly shut it down in 2006. After just sitting for 2 yrs, it is operating as privately owned Old Town Fuel and Fiber. This millwrighting job is getting hard on this old body with arthritis, etc. But it's nice to have a job in this area and these times. Greg.

Here a few pics of some of my stuff. This is just the box I keep in the plant, I have more boxes in my office (of course). Note some of these tools have been used by me for over 30 years, some were my fathers. I bought the Kennedy 295 roller from a guy used in 1986, and the Versa Cart was thrown out in the field behind the company I worked for back in 1988, so I grabbed it. The 6 drawer chest was my fathers that I did a hack job of spraying krinkle brown.

Many of these tools have been used in etch rooms, plating rooms, other places that eat tools. I have more pics of some of the drawers not shown, but I need to get them from my work laptop. So as requested some industrial tools. In my office I have a few roller cabinets with chests along with a few more machinist boxes. I keep the expensive/better stuff in there so I don't have to worry about someone grabbing them to use (beside me).
