I like my Bluedriver. It's easy to use. Does a lot more than just a basic scanner, but doesn't cost a lot more than one.

Only need a Smart phone and lots of functionality - very good.

Just pulling and erasing codes I use the Torque Pro App on my phone and a cheap ELM 327 OBD interface off Ebay. Have less than $20 in it and keep it in my truck...

Dongles in a shop setting is probably going to be a pain in the ***. I dont always have my phone on me either. It takes 10 seconds with a code reader, how long do the dongles take?

Connecting the bluetooth is a few seconds. How long it takes to scan depends on what type scan you do. A CEL code or dash light scan is pretty quick but a scan of all system modules can take a minute or so.

I have a BlueDriver too after having owned a couple of generic ones. I really like it, and it’s far easier to use and does a lot more than the others that preceded it. Plus it gets updated frequently with firmware, software for free. I’ve never run into a vehicle yet that it didn’t connect to seamlessly. Woot just recently had them for $49, but I believe sold out pretty quickly. I’m not a mechanic, so keep that in mind, but do fix the majority of things that go wrong with our and others cars. When I was looking for a car for my daughter, I scanned a bunch of different cars and never had an issue. BlueDriver has been really nice for that.

I second this, I got tired of bluetooth issues with the cheap ones. I have a Bluedriver and I love it. I also have Enginutiy with Audi, Mercedes and GM which I like and VCDS for Audi VW. I love them all
