Having to use the jack after all of that took a lot away. It would have been more impressive if it was a little longer and rotated into the flat position once he pulled forward.

...still something I'd probably only do in a rental.

Not a new idea, they are produced in a multitude of sizes, even for dealer display cars. The time the guy got that up and ready, most of us on here could have had it on jack stands and...wheels off....oil drained...etc. With alot less work.

Wow, if he actually took the time to build that.. he may have been better off working and using the extra money toward buying a real lift.

Why didn't he build the front longer so as the car reached the balance point of the ramps it would have tilted down on it's own:dunno:

They make larger versions that car dealerships use to display cars. You just drive up on it and it falls over so its level and 3-4ft in the air. Honestly they are great for the $$ (have seen a few used ones for $100/ea) but they take up a ton of room.

Car dealers have been using a setup like that for a long time , to display front line cars . The only difference is that this setup didnt level itself out .
