Okay so theirs is going to be a long build because I am in the planning phase here are some photos keep in mind that m garage is going to be good size however not 40x60 I will be building a "basement" under the garage as well it may be 16-20" on the length and width smaller depending on the footers and walls and how they are made in assuming they would have to be under the slab for the garage

If you have room on your lot, I like the side-entry garage option just so everyone driving by doesn't see everything in your garage when the doors are open. Paranoid? Think Google Streets.

If I go side entry option my garage doors will face the main road rather than face the gravel road only has 2 other houses

You are going bigger than 20 by 20 i hope. That dimension isnt any good except for parking two medium size cars or smaller and no room for tools, benches, or any other activities. Minimum size for such activities is probably 28 - 30 feet wide and 28 foot deep, deeper if you have a larger truck.

also having a basement under the garage. What are you planning to do under there? It is difficult to impossible for the floor to be perfectly water proof. Not saying it will pour down there but drips here and there will be there from time to time when you park cars coming in from rain or snow/ice. The space below would not be a good place to store guns or have a lathe and milling machine, nor to finish out the ceiling. Lots of people have had such basements built and expect it to be perfectly dry to be disappointed later.

The garage will be 32'wX28' deep we will only occasionally park in the garage and as of now not at all our garage is full of **** I'd really just like to pull a vehicle in to change the oil rotate tires etc

I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I have to ask why you posted the prints of the garage area if its not the actual dimensions and not the actual door size?

Why don't you want to put the basement under the house? It's going to be much less expensive. I've framed some houses with space under the garage and you won't be able to have the open space that is shown in your drawing without massive beams and huge joists. The other option is to have posts everywhere.

Putting a basement area under the house would be relatively easy. You could keep the staircase where you have it now, just walk strait into the basement at the bottom of the stairs.

Not a bad idea definitely worth considering

I would consider putting the basement entrance from inside the house. Reverse the stairs as you have them now and the door down would be to the (looking at them from inside of the hosue) right of the door to the garage. That will give your four? more feet in the garage that will be nice with cars parked there.
