Figure I start off a thread while my dream garage is being built.

Building a custom home and had to get my input on it [emoji4]

Here are the specs:

6 car garage, 3 double bays.

62’x26’

13’ plateline and peaks to around 22’

Garage office

Utility closet for compressor.

Utility sink.

The plans are 2 4 post lifts in the center garage for auto storage and a 2 post in the right garage.

Trusses for the garage were put on, have to get an interior shot. We designed the house so from the front it won’t look like a super long garage, and can’t tell what part of the house is garage from the street since it’s a back entrance for the garages.99c6d854b2b6c8f2ec8c1da64c0eb56a.jpg

Few more progress pics. All the trusses are on, sheeting should go on soon. Was engineered to have no beams coming down in the inside area. Can’t wait till they take down all of the supports.

It always amazes me how plywood is used for almost every personal building across the pond. I'll be subscribed to this one!

Some progress, but most of the work is being done to the main house.

Garage office walled, utility closet and mud room to the house. Yea those are 8’ door heights to give you a sense of size.

Not sure yet what to do with the tall ceiling in the office, thinking of adding a platform up there.

Consider having a couple two or three switched outlets in the wall above the door facing the garage so that if ever you want some lighted signs put up, your ready for them.

That clearly is way too much garage...you are an evil person who is wasting resources...

At least that is the **** we would have to deal with in Kommiefornia...they got rules out here about things like that...meaning nice stuff.

Nice build...

Well, im actually in Northern California, Suprisingly the city/state really only care about the "house(living space)" portion when pulling permits/design/taxes/fees/title24.
Yea luckily for me they dont set all these crazy rules about residential attached garages. One reason I put my office in the garage, as its not counted as square footage of the home when they assess it.

Congratulations on the build. The layout is really great. Any chance that you could post a clear shot of the floor plan?

Edited the first post also, took the crappy attachments off as the resolution sucked.
