I am finally ready to work on the heating system for my new shop. It is 2500 sq with 16' ceilings. I have 2inch foam under the floor and 1/2 250' loops of oxygen barrier pex in the floor. I have 2 loops for am back office area and 12 loops for the main part of the shop. I know I put a bit much in. For this year it will all be the same temp but down the road I plan on keeping the office area warmer. I am planning on running a LP micro boiler. I have been looking at a Quiteside at Menards but, I have yet to pull the trigger on it. I am in south central WI.

With that said I am in need help figuring out what I need to buy to make this all work. Would it be better to run a 2 loop and a 12 loop manifolds or a 2 loop and two 6 loop manifolds? How big of pumps do I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is totally new to me.

What is a "micro-boiler? Quietside does not make a boiler small enough for your load.
First, a proper ACCA heat load analysis, the the boiler sizing dependent on zones and loads to keep the boiler from short-cycling and killing potential efficiency.

If you use the Quietside you will need someone to do a proper start-up and annual service. This is especially true when burning propane.

you won't gain anything by running two 6 loops unless you're thinking of splitting the shop area at some point in the future

1558's will handle the pumping duties

Ok I bought a 12 loop manifold and a 2 loop manifold from blueridge.

I am really struggling on a heat source though. I have looked at quiteside boilers at Menards. Doesn't seem like there are many options in my price range. Does anyone have any suggestions in the 1500 price range.

there's a LOT of plastic parts in a quietside & it now takes my wholesaler four days to get quietside parts .. not good

personally i like navian stuff .. please find a local small dealer and keep the money in your community

i'm assuming you took bb's advice on proper heat load analysis ??
