I'm looking at an used set, but the seller isn't sure if these are U.S. made.

anybody knows about it? are these decent quality stuff?

My understanding is that set is Taiwanese.

I have an older version of that set.. I need to look but I think mine are stamped USA. Lemme run out and check real quick.

I think they are imported as well, There was a set for sale here in the classifieds not to long ago and the question was asked then also.

Correction.. just checked. Mine are stamped with nothing more than CORNWELL T55, etc and crv.. which usually means Taiwan.

thanks guys. I felt it's kinda fishy when I asked the seller where these are made, he's answer was "I'm not sure".

well, he wants $50 for it and that's with the case and all the pieces. it's a long drive, I don't know if it's worth the trouble.

It's definitely from Taiwan (as previously said). The torx bits are OK, the e-torx seem pretty good. It's a nice set for $50 IMHO, esp if you have a dealer to warranty them. I'm not sure how long a "long drive" is, but I'd strongly consider them.

i have the large set. I like it. i am not a pro, but they seem to work well and i have not had any problems, plus my Cornwell guy is a good guy.

Yes, Taiwan...just like the cheap line of Mac's and a couple others...I have the standard Cornwell torx set. They're not bad, but I don't think anyone really makes a badass torx bit, possibly other than S/O....and that may be a stretch too.

I have the bigger version of that set (has a long version of each torx as well) and I have been very happy with it. I like the knurling around each socket, makes spinning them by hand much easier.
