You're going to have to look for the stamp on the back of the box.

rusty & crusty, but drawer pulls and top lid handle says early 80s snap-on
take a close look at the backside on the lower RT corner; should be stamped there.

Please let us know what "polish" you use to tackle that job. I bet that thing has some serious rot in the double wall structure.

Ok bk right corner ill look after work later. The top of the box, not the lid is pepper potted. Its rusty n crusty.
I got it for my youngest son, he is doing a body work paint n spraying course at collage this inc cutting and welding, his tutor thinks it could be an ideal project to learn all aspects of what he needs.
Luck may have it after his 1st year he is to of his class and the only one that sort and found a part time job in a body shop, and he is trusted to work on his own unsupervised ( big proud dad moment ) especially as he showed no intrest at skool.

Ill post some more pics later but its structurely sound, the pepper potting I thought I had seen when I saw it is just surface rot , a good scraper over the top tray and it isnt too bad
