The new style Tekton ratcheting wrenches I ordered arrived yesterday. I picked up two of the XL double flex boxed end wrenches in 13 X 15 mm and 16 X 18mm. I like the satin finish, crisp ratcheting action, and that they have some heft to them. They are really long though.
I also grabbed reversible ratcheting combination wrench version in 10, 13, 15, & 18 mm because, I wanted to fill some gaps in other sets.
I do not like the new Tekton reversible ratcheting combination wrenches. To begin with, I feel the direction switch is too large compared to other models. It might be that the switch is part of a disc. It also sticks out a bit, and it moves up and down or in and out, when you press on it. I also feel that the open end is wider than other combination wrenches. The wrench itself lacks balance and the good feel one gets when using it. It might be that the wrench is on the short side. The 13mm comes in at just 7 inches overall. I'm disappointed in the new Tekton reversible combination ratcheting wrenches. Perhaps I was expecting too much, or I have too many other sets that I like more :dunno:
