Picked this up at an estate sale last week. Cant find much info on it. Did not see it on alloy artifacts. The set looks old based on the ratcheting mechanism, but its in really good shape. The extensions are used as handles of varying length.

That ******* is cool as hell. I have no idea on age, but I'd guess 40's. What drive is it, 1/2 or 3/4? If it by chance it is 5/8", that could narrow it down based on when 5/8" drive was dropped.

I used to have a 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor that would probably fit that. It was one of them what the hell is that for things, now I might know and don't have it.

Not to derail, but...

How the hell could that NOT be useful? I had a hell of a time actually finding one, and then it was overpriced napa garbage.... mystified me. Use it to step my torque multiplier down to socket sizes normal people use.

I bought a similar one off a GJ member not too long ago. It was stamped. " T-50 ". Only had the ratchet head, 1/2 drive, one extension and the universal.

It was the first day of the sale so there was no dickering. I hope i didnt get ripped off...

You got ripped big time....But we're her to help you out...I'll send you $15 plus shipping for the set....(This way I could get fingerprints off of it and track down the thief who did this to you.) (We will not allow this to happen to our fellow members.)

Wow, that's pretty cool.

There must be a Williams sale. Here's what a $50 set looks like:

The box looks old, but the rat looks like snappy. Nice score any way you look at it!

Here's the catalog page from 1978:

And a close-up of the set:

The catalog also shows a similar set in 3/8" drive.

I believe I found the ratchet head and possibly one other part of the set at a swap meet last year. The seller told me he had no idea what it was. I must have either been very short on cash or very short on brains that day because I didn't buy it... :headscrat

I'm not a fan of square drive but I am a fan of lego-ing it. Odd to know there were/are people that do it/did it more than I would. 45 degree angle? Nah, nick don't do that even with a breaker bar.

It was square on both ends, 1/2 on one and 3/4 on the other, would have probably snapped right into the op's ratchet or a similar model.

Great score. I will give you 60 and pay the freight. I would not sell it for that price though.
How anyone thought that was form the 30's or 40's is beyond me. The way it is made and the colour of the box tells its age. I figured 70's
Thanks for sharing it with us. $15 is so dun good!
