Looking for pictures of a 28x30 2 door garage, and a 28x30 1 door garage. I would like to use one bay as a wash/cleanup bay, and the other bay for maintenence and tinkering. Is 28x30 a good size for what I am looking for?

Any input and pictures would be appreciated!

I am going to insulate, just not sure if I'll do sprayfoam or regular pink insulation, then instead of drywall I was going to use chipboard and paint it. Just wondering what I should use to coat the walls to help with the moisture/water overspray as I will be washing my vehicles an awfull lot during the colder months...

If you are going to wash them in it, use metal to do the interior wall of that area.
Or, find a boat dealer and see about purchasing alot of fiberglass mat and resin-- and cover the walls of that area.

Cover the walls with FRP panels (fiberglass reinforced panel) for waterproofing. Are you going to put a drain in the wash bay?

One IMPORTANT thing to know about a floor drain in a garage is the EPA requirments. If the bay is also used for auto repair where fluids like oil can get on the floor then you are required to install an "oil water seperator", they are VERY strict about the possibilty of washing oil down the drain and into the environment. In a residential garage you wouldn't really have to worry about them ever checking it but if the building needs to be inspected after complete then the inspector may have an issue. If you are not doing any auto repairs in the bay then you should be ok. I was going to put drains in my new shop until I learned about this then I said H#!! NO I don't want the EPA scrutinizing my shop on a regular basis.
