OK, so I know the brand name and it's a box ratchet, but a search yields very little info other than it could be from the 20's to 30's. I read that Crescent was also in Jamestown originally, not sure if that is related. Anyone have any info on this and/or what the value is?

I'm guessing that it is 1/2" hex and is part of a hex drive socket set.
I cannot see last line under the address--if that is a patent number, search it here: http://www.google.com/advanced_patent_search by the number. Patent will tell you assignee, likely the company, and also will allow you then to search whatever other patents they owned.
Value is likely very, very low. There were lots of ratchets made much like this, and they are sort of the K-Mart $9.95 socket setup of 1915.

Thanks for the info Bruce, much appreciated. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something more than a curiosity. The hex measures 3/8", and after a good soak and some oiling, it ratchets just fine. I stared at it up close and personal for a bit, and decided that last line says Pat Pending, so no joy on the lookup. Good link to have though.

Who knows, maybe I'll toss it in the toolbox and give it a 100th birthday party in a few years.

Keep looking and you'll be able to find enough (probably from several manufacturers) to make up a set...sometimes you'll turn up neat little sets bracketed to a wall-hanger kit. They are out there in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2.
