Hi All,
I just bought a vintage snap-on roller tool chest. It is the teal Harley Davidson, Heritage Soft Tail model. The base cab is the KRA 657B and the top cab is the KRA 637. I'm trying to find out as much information on this set up as possible. I think it was produced in 1993 but I'm not positive of that. Does anyone know? Also, I'm trying to track down a vintage Harley logo'd cover for it. One that could have originally been purchased for it as an option. If I can't find the original Harley cover for it to buy, then just a standard red snap-on cover would suffice. Snap-On told me the cover model number is: KRC9A or KRC9, depending on the color I guess. Snap-on said it was discontinued long ago. Anyone have a line where I might be able to pick one of these up? Any info anyone can give me would be a huge help.
Thanks guys,
Doug

That's sharp, like the color. They are date stamped on the back, early 90s would be right. The 657/637 came out in ~1987. Good size box for the house, pretty small for most working pros though. As for the cover good luck, honestly you would probably be best off to make one yourself.

33"x18" boxes kinda a thing of the past, not surprised snap on doesn't currently make a cover in that size range.

Thanks zkling,
Yes, it's perfect size for my home shop (for now anyway).
Do you know if I can use the serial no. to determine it's date? Or is there another number on the back I should use?
Thanks,
Doug

No deciphering necessary on the serial number, it will be date stamped on the boxes. Reads something like KR-637 **, where the ** is the two digits of the year produced following 19XX. If mine weren't against a wall I'd take a picture to show you.
