Hello fellow tool junkies:
Just won a 225 amp A.O. Smith welder at an auction. Seems to be a high quality one. It was manufactured between 1961 and 1965. Seems to work well and is the quietest welder I've ever used. Also, for me, it has one of the coolest machine fronts I've seen.
I have a few questions from the experienced:
1. Any information and history on A.O. Smith welders?
2. Can anyone explain the difference between "smooth arc" and "forced arc"?
(I assume that it's the same as low & high on other welders.)
3. Anyone else own or use an A.O. Smith welder? Show pictures please?
Happy Trails!
