I have a Flir E8 at work, and find the thermal camera indispensable.

our fire dept. has one, it is so sensitive that you can point it at a wall and see people walking around inside the house.

I bought a Flir one, on sale it was 149.99 and runs on most any new android phones. I believe they have one for apple too. Invaluable when figuring out where you need to insulate and seal in the house. Also used it when I was repairing my heated seats in my jeep

Unpossible, the heat will not transfer through the walls for the camera to see. Got any other TV myths to discuss?

Used a $12k Flir at work for a few years and still have certification through 2020. Interesting tools but very "dangerous" in the hands of ill informed. I've seen millions of dollars be spent replacing equipmemt based on bad images, with the new install no safer then the original.
