Hello I am looking for gas Infrared Ceramic Heater that can be used for residential. I am looking for one that does not have a pilot and can be used in a building with 12 ft ceilings 32x42
I was looking at something from mr heater but they all seem to have a pilot.
This would be a secondary heat for the garage.

Thank you

The point of an infrared ceramic is to be used with out the electric. hence having a pilot. Why not have a pilot?

What are you trying to do? Are you wanting something to use just when you are in the garage, or something that would auto turn on when you aren't there? All the infrared heaters I have used are not to be used unsupervised, so the pilot light isn't on when you aren't using it.

Just do not want the flame running. I have seen the dayton ones that are electric start.

That makes sense. I though the pilot would be on ignite it? I would want something that I can use to keep it around 50. I have a heat pump but when it is cold it will use the backup heat which uses a lot of power. It may be easier just to add a gas heater and vent it outside.

The Rinnai Fan Convector 824 is infrared, with fan and programmable stat, cool to the touch on the cabinet. Firing rate of 8-24kbtu, propane or NG. Pricey, but a terrific product. It is vent free, electronic ignition and has Rinnai’s O2 depletion system. I have one I made the mistake of loaning out for a short time a couple years ago while I was repairing his other heater. He got his old heater back and has kept the 824 pleading with me to keep it. I’m moving in a month and that thing is going with me. I’m going to use it as heating for the outside seating on the deck Instead of the over head towers everyone uses.
